BE launches Singapore office

SINGAPORE - Independent global marketing network BE International has opened its first office in Singapore with founding client Nokia.

The network, which comprises 12 independently-owned affiliate agencies, adds a Singapore office to existing Asia-Pacific outlets in Kuala Lumpur, Delhi, Mumbai and Melbourne.

Singapore will serve as BEI's regional hub, and there are plans to open other offices in Southeast Asian markets, including Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam.

The agency offers a broad range of services, from media buying and research to events, PR, advertising and interactive.

The company will start out with six staff, led by Devraj Basu, who also runs the network's India operation.

BEI also counts 38 partners and affiliates in 36 countries as part of its network. The company, which has headquarters in New York, was founded in 1997 by Shadi Bteddini as a recruitment advertising firm for US-based agencies and advertisers.
