McDonald's took home the Best Advertiser of the Year accolade with campaigns crafted by Leo Burnett.
Although BBDO scooped 16 prizes against 17 by TBWA, its haul of two platinum and three gold awards on top of seven silver, and four bronze puts it ahead. The platinum prize is the highest accolade as it requires all judges to vote for the campaign.
TBWA's haul included one platinum and two gold prizes on top of 10 silver, and four bronze.
BBDO's two platinum honours were awarded for TV craftsmanship - best sound and the second for best editing on the Visa 'Dining Out' television ad. TBWA won its platinum for its radio campaign for the Philippine General Hospital wards 9 & 11.
Other agencies which won platinums were Burnett in the design single entry category, Lowe for radio single entry, Campaigns and Grey for promotions and events, and McCann-Erickson for best casting in TV craftmanship.
Burnett's 'Lolo' (grandfather) campaign for McDonald's scooped the Best of Medium prize for TV - single entry. It also won the gold award for best direction for TV craftmanship.
