BBDO shuffles SEA teams in regional moves

ASIA PACIFIC - BBDO has named new senior talent at its Singapore and Philippines offices, following the shift of BBDO Singapore CEO Sesh Sampath into a new regional director role, overseeing the agency's Procter & Gamble and ICI Dulux business.

Regional business development director Jean-Paul Burge relocates to Singapore to take

on the MD role at the agency. Former Grey Direct Malaysia chief Rod Strother will become MD of Proximity Singapore, reporting to Burge, who will also continue to lead the agency's global Fonterra business.Sampath shifts into his new position after five years heading BBDO Singapore. "Mt importantly, I am leaving behind a very good ship,"e said.

Meanwhile, BBDO Guerrero Ortega has moved to plug the gap left by the departure of ECD Raoul Panes to Leo Burnett with the hire of James Bernardo, creative director of Perwanal Saatchi & Saatchi Jakarta.

Bernardo joins at the beginning of April to work alongside creative directors Joel Limchoc, Simon Welsh and Trixie Diyco. He will report directly to David Guerrero, BBDO Guerrero Ortega's chairman and chief creative officer, who will take on a more hands-on role in the absence of Panes.

Panes leaves to oversee Burnett Philippines' creative output as ECD. He will report to Richard Irvine, who is promoted to the expanded role of chairman and chief creative officer of Leo Group.
