BBDO M'sia leads drive to sharpen up creative skills

KUALA LUMPUR: BBDO has unveiled a plan to sharpen its competitive edge in Malaysia - an initiative which could be duplicated in BBDO's other offices in the region.

The move comes as BBDO made a further senior appointment in Singapore and promotions in Hong Kong as part of a management restructuring in those two markets. (See pg 23) The Malaysian effort calls for a new emphasis on creative dominance and an accelerated business development pace.

BBDO Malaysia CEO, Jennifer Chan, said: "In order to succeed, we need the right people with the right attitude. As a network, we work on a lot of different brands. However, there is one which we should also be spending time on is our own and part of that has to do with understanding the group's goals and the ways of achieving them."
