BBDO GM Aquino to join Ogilvy as MD

MANILA - Randy Aquino has quit BBDO Guerrero Ortega to join Ogilvy Advertising as managing director.

Aquino, who was previously general manager at BBDO, will report to Christina Coscoluella, group managing director, Ogilvy & Mather Philippines. Aquino will be replaced by Isabel Santillan, who was promoted from client service director to run the agency. She joined BBDO in 2005.

Of Aquino’s departure, BBDO Guerrero Ortega CEO Paul Roebuck said: “We have experienced tremendous growth during his tenure, and that is in no small part due to him.”

Meanwhile, Arlene Aquino has joined BBDO from McCann Erickson as strategic planning director. She spent 12 years at McCann as a market research and consumer insight specialist, latterly at Universal McCann where she was media insight specialist.

“We’ve been looking to recruit a planning director for some time, which has been tough,” said Roebuck.

“Arlene underscores our total work offering by understanding channel planning as well strategic communications planning.”
