BBC World hires Nazeralia to standardise brands

LONDON - BBC World has appointed marketing consultant Sanjay Nazeralia to build a consistent brand image for the BBC's international TV, radio and online platforms.

Nazeralia joins from the marketing consultancy The Depot, which he founded in 1998 having worked with media clients Discovery, BBC World and the UK's Channel 4.

He will report to Richard Sambrook, the director of BBC Global News.

Nazeralia will also become a member of BBC Global News' board of directors when he joins in September.

Prior to The Depot, Nazeralia was senior VP of marketing for MTV Europe.
