Batey CEO to return to UK
Robert Kay has announced he will step down as CEO of Batey in the coming months.

Citing family as the main reason behind the move, he is expected to depart Singapore for the UK by the end of the year. According to Kay (pictured), the agency management has been aware of his plans for some time, adding the search for his replacement is already well underway.

"Batey will benefit significantly from new leadership, and the new ideas and opportunities that our engagement with JWT Group, and Michael Maedel specifically, will present," he said.

Kay joined Batey in 2000 from Campaign Palace Australia. His departure follows a turbulent period at Batey, following WPP's buyout of founder Ian Batey's shareholding in the shop, and the agency's integration into JWT.
