Bates141 confirms 10AM acquisition

SINGAPORE - WPP agency network Bates141 has announced the acquisition of Singaporean creative hotshop 10AM Communications, confirming the news broken by Media earlier this year (Media 17 March).

WPP group CEO Sir Martin Sorrell said in a statement: "We are delighted to welcome a creative jewel like 10AM to the group and look forward to working with Sau Hoong and her colleagues."

10AM will continue to operate as a separate entity, but will report into Bates141 via network chairman Jeffrey Yu.

There is a strategic and cultural fit between 10AM and Bates 141," said Lim Sau Hoong (pictured), the 10AM founder.

"With an extensive network coverage across Asia, Bates 141 can add muscle to 10AM’s growth and provide the network strength for our clients seeking regional coverage."

10AM and Bates have already pitched together for a number of accounts this year, including Sony - which they won - and OCBC Bank.
