Bates Singapore appoints Sorge as creative director

SINGAPORE - Bates141 Singapore has replaced outgoing creative director Raymond Quah with Travis Sorge (pictured), the former creative director of Grey Bangkok.

Sorge, who was most recently a freelancer at BBH Singapore, will report to the agency's ECD Steve Llewellyn.

Craig Mapleston, Bates Singapore's general manager, said: "Steve [Llewellyn] oversees the operations of the creative, studio, production and traffic teams. From a creative standpoint, Steve has a strong activation and below-the-line focus. Travis will be the above-the-line creative lead and will be the perfect compliment to Steve."

Sorge's career includes spells at DDB Auckland, Colenso BBDO and Saatchi & Saatchi Los Angeles. His awards tally includes Cannes gold in 2004 and a win of the Young Gun of the Year award.

Quah shifted to Publicis Modem Singapore last month after a three and half year stint with the agency.
