CHINA: Bates has reshuffled its senior China management following the departure of Beijing MD Steve Bale.
Bale, who also held a national planning role, could not be reached at presstime, but is thought to have left to spend more time on personal projects.
However, he will continue to work with Bates in a consultancy capacity, assisting with its annual ChangePoints project, expert panels convened by Bates to plot ongoing trends in China.
Bale's main planning duties will pass to Shanghai planning director Sarah Thomas. Bates-Asia China CEO Arthur Yu will lead the Beijing office, where Pat Tam has been promoted to deputy general manager.
Meanwhile, in Shanghai, Rebecca Feng has been promoted from general manager to managing director. Daniel Wee, who has been business head on the office's key clients for two years, has replaced Feng as GM.
