Bates outguns five rivals for Cheung Kong

<p>HONG KONG: Bates Advertising outgunned five agency rivals to rein </p><p>in the HKdollars 50 million (USdollars 6.4 million) Cheung Kong Holdings </p><p>account for two residential properties. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Its management supervisor, Tommy Cheng, said Bates pitched against </p><p>Ogilvy & Mather, Leo Burnett, FCB, Grey and M&C Saatchi for the </p><p>HKdollars 30 million Caribbean Coast business. The other property </p><p>project, The Sky Tower, located near the old Kai Tak airport, is being </p><p>jointly developed by Cheung Kong, New World Development and Shanghai </p><p>International Holdings. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>According to Bates, both campaigns are scheduled for launch later this </p><p>year. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Separately, Bates has appointed Susan Lam as group account director. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Lam was previously with Bates' integrated communication agency 141 </p><p>Malaysia. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
