Bates boosts creative offering
Bates Singapore has hired highly-rated creatives Rob Goldenberg and Joji Jacob as creative director and associate creative director, respectively. <BR><BR> Both will report to ECD Rob Gaxiola for work on the agency's Nokia and Heineken accounts. TV-heavyweight Goldenberg (pictured) joins directly from LA-based shop Secret Weapon, a 14-year industry veteran with recognition from Cannes, One Show and Communication Arts. Jacob will join from his previous role as JWT's head of copy, where he worked on last year's award-winning Listerine work. <BR><BR> Their arrivals follow the June appointments of copywriter Monika Lie and art director Yvonne Hung (Media, 29 June). <BR><BR> "Creatively we want to compete with some of the best shops in the world," said Gaxiola. "We can't work in a vacuum. A mix of world-class talent who share the same vision will give our clients the advertising they deserve."
