The widely acclaimed '12 star signs' series talks about the 12 different ways of marriage proposals under each horoscope. The campaign has been recognised at several other advertising awards, including Cannes, and become widely popular among young Chinese netizens with a keen interest in horoscopes.
"It is a brilliant piece of work, even I am so envious," said Yang Yeo, JWT Shanghai's chief executive officer and chairman of this year's jury.
In addition to the Grand Prix and three gold awards, the series also received three silver awards.
A further three silver awards went to Dentsu Hong Kong's Cantonese commercial series for Yakult, a Japanese probiotic milk-like drink. McCann Worldgroup Hong Kong's ad for bakery shop Maxim also won a silver award.
In the print category, where jury decided none of the entries qualified for a gold award, Bates Taiwan's 'The ECD is out of the office', DDB Worldwide's 'Reflection, rarity, cut' and BBH China's 'Bywise ABCDance cards' won silver awards.
DDB Shanghai's 'Green pedestrian crossing' for the China Environmental Protection Foundation, which won a gold Lion at Cannes earlier this year, took home the only gold award in the Catch category.
