Bartlett, who will oversee digital creative operations for both Proximity and some BBDO China clients, will report to Proximity China director Gavin Cranston and BBDO China chief Carol Potter.
Bartlett said: “The challenge is really focusing on which opportunities to go for. We need to focus on the best creative for clients that are asking for solutions, but we also need to take forward ideas that the clients are not yet asking for,” he said.
In addition, Proximity has appointed Winie Soon account director, digital, from Publicis Singapore.
Soon has been charged with leading the Visa, Air New Zealand and Gilette accounts, among others. Soon has previously managed projects for HP, Cisco Systems, Discovery Channel, Microsoft and Nokia.
Cranston said: “Both have extensive experience and will provide us with a tremendous boost and competitive advantage. Glenn Bartlett specifically is a major creative force, and will be an asset to both Proximity and BBDO.”
