Barnes departs FCB in major global restructuring

FCB regional president and CEO Ben Barnes is to depart the network, along with his European and US counterparts, Scott Hollingsworth and Gene Bartley. According to an internal announcement, Barnes and Hollingsworth will pursue "other interests," while Bartley is believed to be retiring. The moves also herald the creation of a 'Centre of Excellence' structure for the global network, reporting into ex-Latin America head Rafael de Guzman, who takes on the newly created role of international president. In Asia, the three centres are India, Southeast Asia and China, headed by Anil Kapoor, Bhaskar Rao and Gary Tse, respectively. Europe will reportedly house four such centres, whilst US offices will report directly into global chief Steve Blamer.
