Bank of New Zealand appoints PHD

AUCKLAND - Bank of New Zealand has appointed SparkPHD and independent creative agency Sugar as its agencies-of-record in New Zealand.

According to the bank, BNZ invited several agencies to participate in the advertisign and media reivew, including creative incumbent Y&R and the winning agencies Sugar and SparkPHD.

“We’ve had a very good relationship with Y&R over the last four years and during that time Y&R has delivered some great work for us,” said BNZ head of brand Jo Kelly. “However we’re entering a new phase of our business and the time is right for us to work with a new agency partner.”

According to an Omnicom spokeswoman, the contract has no definitive timeline, and it is “to be confirmed” when the agencies assume their new roles.
