Balinghasay joins J&J beauty division

SINGAPORE - Eric Balinghasay has joined Johnson & Johnson as platform director for its regional beauty care franchise.

The veteran marketer departs SCA, where he was branding and marketing strategy director for Drypers.
Balinghasay declined to specify the exact nature of his new role, although it is believed that it refers to specific business opportunities in the beauty care unit, which includes Neutrogena, Clean & Clear, Aveeno and Roc. In his seven years with SCA, he took Drypers to market leadership positions in Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore.

Prior to that, he was at Procter & Gamble and Colgate-Palmolive.

Balinghasay is the second senior marketer recruited by J&J’s beauty care unit in recent months after Karen Ang was named regional franchise manager for Clean & Clear (Media, 21 August.)
