SINGAPORE: AXN has extended its on-air relationship with Philips to kick

off the Philips-AXN Action Movie Festival 2001.

The action and adventure channel is holding an all-night marathon at

Singapore's Suntec City this month.

Movie buffs will watch three films back-to-back. Those who survive to

sunrise will be served breakfast and will also have the chance to enter

a lucky draw to win Philips DVD players.

According to Jeanne Leong, senior manager of marketing and

communications at AXN Asia: "Philips is an on-air sponsor and we wanted

to build on that relationship. This is a first time we've held a movie

festival in the region with Philips. We have held movie festivals in

India.

"The event is being held in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, while the

sponsorship extends across East Asia."
