AXN Asia reach increases to 70m households

SINGAPORE: AXN has access to more than 30 million homes, round the clock, across the region, the action-adventure cable television network says.

It says it passed the milestone following recent launches on Malaysia's Astro and Pakistan's Leo Communications platforms, and significant subscription increases in key Asian markets.

Including China, where it is seen in 40 million households on a day-part basis, AXN Asia's regional distribution is in excess of 70 million homes.

Asia managing director, Todd Miller, said the network - a Columbia Tristar International Television/ Sony Pictures Entertainment channel - had been able to chart a steady upward growth since its launch in 1997 by focusing on supporting "our cable partners and creating X-periences that help to build bridges with our viewers through exciting on-air, online and on-the-ground initiatives".
