SYDNEY
An organisation representing the meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions industry in Australia has changed its name to provide better representation across the sector.
Designed to create a more widely understood name, the group formerly know as the MICE Industry Council is now the Business Events Council of Australia.
"We were looking for a name other than the MICE acronym - something that encompassed all types of face-to-face business events," BECA executive director Ms Elizabeth Rich said.
