Asian Youth Games ties with MEC Access

SINGAPORE - MEC Access, the sport, entertainment and cause marketing arm of MEC, is to support the First Asian Youth Games (AYG) Singapore 2009.

Together with partner Repucom, MEC Access will provide sponsorship, research and consultancy services.

Mike Jackson, MD of MEC Access, said: “We are excited to be able to bring our tools, skillsets and experience to bear in evaluating the effectiveness of sponsors’ activities and help provide perspective for future events.”

The AYG will be a key step in achieving the city-state’s vision of becoming a world-class sports hub.

“With more than 1,200 young athletes from over 40 National Olympic Committees, it is going to be a memorable event,” said Stacy Tan, head of marketing and sponsorship for the Singapore Asian Youth Games Organising Committee.

“We are pleased to have received such strong commercial backing for the inaugural Asian Youth Games from our sponsors and the evaluation and consultancy services offered by MEC Access and Repucom will be invaluable.”
