Asian campaigns make UK award shortlist

LONDON - Two Asian entries have made the shortlist of the Effectiveness Awards held by the UK's Institute of Practitioners in Advertising.

Campaigns by Ogilvy and Mather Beijing and Ogilvy & Mather Vietnam have made the shortlist of 23. They were the only non-UK agencies to make it to the final round of judging.

The awards are the most prestigious in the UK ad industry, and reward campaigns that can prove effectiveness.

The Beijing entry was Motorola’s 'Moto tribe' campaign, which involved TV, print and music download sites. The Vietnam entry was a public awareness campaign encouraging cyclists to wear helmets.

The awards ceremony will be held on 3 November.
