Asia Luxury Travel Market expo on target for June launch in Shanghai

SHANGHAI Asia Luxury Travel Market (ALTM), the first event in the Asia Pacific region aimed exclusively at the travel industry's elite, will be staged in Shanghai from June 18 to 21 at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre. The new event will showcase the world's most exclusive hotels and resorts, the operators of luxurious travel experiences and provide a forum to meet the travel arrangers for the elite.

The event is limited to 300 hosted buyers and 300 exhibitors. ALTM is an appointment-based event. All VIP buyers must pre-schedule their appointments online before coming to Shanghai.

Visitors will not be allowed

at Asia Luxury Travel Market unless they have pre-registered.

ALTM is the sister event to the highly successful International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM), now in its fifth year, which brings the world’s top buyers and sellers of luxury travel together every December in Cannes, France.

Last year’s Cannes event attracted more than 3,000 travel industry professionals and media, with more than 42,000 business-to-business appointments arranged in the expo’s three days and nights.

“The Cannes event has been an enormous success and we are excited to now bring it to the Asia Pacific,” said Jay Martens, event director of ALTM.

“China is one of the exciting markets in the region that we

are targeting and what better place to hold the event than Shanghai, Asia’s most exciting and glamorous city.”
