ASIA-PACIFIC Leo Burnett's global restructuring continues to reverberate in Asia, with the departure of Arc regional president Charles Cadell.

While Burnett regional president Michelle Kristula-Green denied that Cadell's decision to leave was a direct result of the network's global reorganisation in December, speculation surrounding the 20-year Burnett veteran's position had grown after the network announced it would be integrating management of Burnett and Arc more closely worldwide (Media, 12 December, 2006.)

"I asked Charles to take on the role of launching Arc two-and-a-half years ago," Kristula-Green told Media. "We feel he's done as much as he can."

No replacement will be sought for Cadell. "I am proud of what we have achieved, but it is time for me to move on and seek new challenges and opportunities," he said. "This parting of ways is amicable."

During his tenure at Arc, Cadell built the below-the-line network into a regional contender, bringing together disparate elements such as iLeo, Galeleo and Leo Activation. In addition, he built a regional team for Arc, CRM and interactive chief Damian Byrne and CD Mark Chung.
