Apostrophe has picked Jules Julasak Yamasmit as the managing director to spearhead the business in Thailand. Alfaseeh Maricar, Apostrophe's director/co-founder (information & technology), will also be based in Bangkok for a year.

“The mobile app advancement in Thailand is underrated. Mobile technology for Thailand is already aiming to elevate the local mobile app industry onto the global stage. I feel that we are in the right place at the right time,” Maricar said.

Nicola Morelli (pictured), founder of Apostrophe Digital, noted that expanding to Thailand was a strategic move, as there is an exponential growth potential in the market for mobile applications.

Suresh Superamaniam, also a director/co-founder at Apostrophe, said the digital realm in Thailand was exploding in terms of individual users, multiple platforms and the infrastructure that is supporting it.

“It's an emerging market that bears a huge potential for rapid development in the local mobile application market. With the release of the long awaited 3G networks, Thailand is strategic gold mine for apps that we are eager to be part of,” he noted.
