APN profits hit record high

<p>APN News & Media, the largest operator of regional newspapers, </p><p>radio stations and OA in Australasia, has achieved a 31 per cent </p><p>increase in net profit to a record A$21.9 million for the six </p><p>months ending June 30, 2000. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>APN saw profit for regional titles increase by 11 per cent, as well as </p><p>strong growth in Buspak Hong Kong and taxi advertising in Singapore. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
