AP shops scoop 11 out of 54 Yellow Pencils

The region has scooped 11 of 54 Yellow Pencils at the recent D&AD awards show in London.

Dentsu scored a Yellow Pencil for its work for Tokyo FM Broadcasting in the digital crafts/sound design category, while Bascule and Draft won in the online/primary brand website and packaging design/packaging categories respectively.

From Singapore, Ogilvy & Mather and Saatchi & Saatchi both scored for work on GSK and Greenpeace, respectively, while Euro RSCG Flagship topped the poster advertising/roadside posters/ large billboards category with its 11 News 1 Channel campaign 'Housewife'.

From Australia, Host/The Glue Society picked up an award in the integrated advertising category, for a Virgin Mobile campaign featuring Australian actor Jason Donovan. The agency, in conjunction with NetX, also scored a second Yellow Pencil for the same campaign in the interactive viral advertising category.

UK agencies garnered the highest number of awards to top the overall country list with 33 Pencils, while the US was further back, with a total of seven. Australia (four), Japan (three) and Singapore (two) made up the top five performing markets.
