Animax gears up for Korea launch with new hires
Animax has appointed Marty Hong, the former MD of Korean cable channel MBC Dramanet, to helm its new channel in Korea, pegged for launch later this month. <BR><BR> Hong (pictured) is one of three senior hires made by the channel, a JV between Sony Pictures Television International and Korea Digital Satellite Broadcasting (KDB), alongside new programming director Sang-Im Kim and new CFO SK Kim. Sang-Im Kim, former channel manager with KDB, will also be responsible for on-air promotions and off-air marketing activities. Animax Korea will broadcast on KDB's DTH platform, SkyLife.
