Animated paper figures highlight MTR's promotion

The Mass Transit Railway (MTR) has tacked a year-long through-the-line campaign for an upcoming sales promotions on two paper figurines.

The two DDB-created characters -- a panda and a machine man-- have been adapted from an animated teaching programme on Chinese idioms previously aired on local station TVB. The agency revamped the original characters, using new animation techniques to transform the pair into a 'spokeperson' of the campaign. The campaign is supported by a series of five 10-second animated spots, each focusing on a specific MTR promotion including the loyalty online programme, MTR Club, which targets young adults and teens, as well as Red Days, which offers HK$2 savings on each ride for elderly and children.
