"In the past 20 months, my time's been split about 60/40 in favour of Asia," said Anderson. "It will now be 50/50 in both regions. My role is to continue to focus on large client relationships and to help guide our continuous growth internationally."
Earlier this year, the agency appointed Paul Barber to the position of chief executive, EMEA, reporting to Anderson, and the agency is currently attempting to appoint Barber's equivalent for Asia-Pacific.
In response to reports that senior members of Ogilvy's Asian network had passed on the position, Anderson said: "A number of internal candidates for the role have expressed a desire to continue building the operations they oversee in given parts of the region."
Anderson has spent seven years at Ogilvy in Asia.
