Anderson leaves Ogilvy PR to take on role at BSkyB

Matthew Anderson is to depart his position as Ogilvy PR EAME chief executive officer to take the group director of communications role at BSkyB.

Anderson relocated from Hong Kong to London after adding Europe to his role in 2004. "The Asian team is in fantastic shape right now -- if you look at how (regional president) Chris Graves has done, and bringing in (director of strategy and planning) Jim Dowling and (client service director) Karen Peterson, the team is larger than it was when I was there," said Anderson. He added that his successor would only oversee EAME, with Graves now reporting to both global CEO Marcia Silverman and Ogilvy Asia-Pacific chairman Miles Young. Global head of strategy and planning Steve Dahllof will occupy the role in an interim capacity.

Anderson will report to BSkyB CEO James Murdoch and will sit on the company's executive committee.
