AMI strengthens regional team as firm rebrands

HONG KONG: Asia Market Intelligence (AMI) has announced a series of high-level appointments aimed at strengthening its regional management team.

Peter Snell has been promoted from North Asia chief executive officer to Asia-Pacific chairman. In his new role, Snell will oversee merger and acquisition activities and source for new business opportunities in the region. Tim Balbirnie, formerly AMI's director, has been promoted to regional chief executive officer and Jonathan Jephcott, previously Media Metrix's vice-president and director of research, has been tapped for the media research director's post.

The appointment comes as AMI is in the midst of rebranding itself as Synovate.
