Allianz reverts AP brief to HQ

Allianz has re-consolidated its US$15 million Asia-Pacific creative business back into its global headquarters in Germany, barely three months after appointing FCB Singapore to lead the account. With FCB no longer servicing the business, the Asia-Pacific work will again be handled by global incumbent BBDO Germany. "What they have decided is they will not have an agency in the region," said FCB Southeast Asia area director Bhaskar Rao. "We will treat all the work we have done as a project and complete those assignments." The shift follows news that the insurance giant is looking to establish a global advertising roster to support a new global brand direction, as reported by BrandRepublic.com.
