ALICE SPRINGS The US$5million Alice Springs Convention Centre (ASCC) and Lasseters Hotel Casino are looking to attract more business from Asia when the centre opens in March 2002.
"We would like more business from Asia, and groups from Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan have already expressed interest," Lasseters sales and marketing director Ms Lynne Jackson said.
"We hope the destination will appeal to the Asia marketplace because of the complex's casino and golf course."
When complete, the centre will cater for up to 1,200 theatre style and 780 banquet style.
