Aktiv and iHub move to rival Pixel Media

HONG KONG - Online sales networks Aktiv Group and iHub Media have both opened offices in Hong Kong.

Alex Khan (pictured), CEO of Aktiv Group said: “We believe that this is a unique offering in the Hong Kong online sales market, that has to date been dominated by Pixel Media.”

TVB.com sales manager Miko Ho takes charge of Aktiv Hong Kong as managing director.

Ho joins after a seven-year term with the online division of the Hong Kong broadcaster, and will be supported by Jason Tsang, who shifts from Hi-Tech Weekly, where he was deputy sales director.

Meawhile, Ee Yen Sin, formerly regional manager for iHub Malaysia, will head iHub’s Hong Kong office.

ihub is already an established presence in Singapore, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai and Taipei, with further regional expansion reportedly planned.

Aktiv Hong Kong will open at the end of April.

iHub Media, meanwhile, will look to capitalise on the revenue potential of the upcoming Euro 2008 football tournament following its ad campaigns for ESPNsoccernet in Singapore and Malaysia.
