AIS appoints Lowe on corporate image
Leading Thai telco AIS has selected Lowe to handle a corporate image assignment, believed to be driven by the sale of almost half of AIS parent Shin Corp to Temasek Holdings. <BR><BR> According to sources, Lowe scooped the business following a pitch that included JWT and AIS retainer agency SC Matchbox. AIS commands 55 per cent of the Thai market, and is viewed as Shin Corp's most prized asset. The Shin Corp sale ended the conglomerate's association with the family of Thailand's caretaker Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
