Air France eyes Asia in global print campaign

HONG KONG: Air France has restarted advertising, launching a global print campaign with emphasis on Asia.

Marc Benedetti, executive vice-president and managing director of Air France, Asia-Pacific, said the carrier had suspended all advertising, except for China, after September 11. "Our results have been steadily picking up and as such we see this as an opportune moment to capture market share."

Targetting Asian business travellers, the Euro RSCG Paris-developed campaign features a series of visuals which aim to convey the airline's core values including customer affinity, openness to other cultures and the French touch. The tagline says: 'Making the sky the best place on earth'. "The new campaign concentrates on the travellers' well-being.

That means placing our customers squarely at the heart of this warm intimate message, Benedetti said.
