Aids Concern signs celebs for new ads

HONG KONG - Aids Concern has kicked off a bold new adver-tising concern that features celebrities asking various versions of the question 'If I have Aids, would you still love me?'

Originally developed by TBWA/Paris for Aides, a French organisation, the Hong Kong adaptations features cartoonist Alice Mak, politician Allen Leong, actor Daniel Wu, and actress Nancy Sit.

In one of the print ads, for example, Mak asks, “If I had Aids, would my comic books still bring happiness to others?”

“The campaign fights discrimination against those inflected by HIV/Aids and recognises that they do not change the quality of a person,” said Joanne Lao, managing director of TBWA/Hong Kong.
