AIA picks TBWA Thailand for 70th anniversary push

BANGKOK - TBWA Thailand has been appointed creative agency for AIA Thailand's 70th anniversary celebrations and corporate branding following a four-way pitch against Lowe, Euro RSCG Flagship and M&C Saatchi, the incumbent.

Chaipranin Visudhipol (pictured), chairman of TBWA Thailaind, said: “AIA is one iconic brand that every agency would want to work with, so this is a significant win for us and proves the strength of our team. It also adds to our list of prestige and large corporate brand clients that include Siam Cement Group, PTT, Thai Oil, Nivea and Nissan.”

In addition, the Omnicom agency also won the creative account to promote the Parrot soap brand, the second best-selling soap in the country, after a three-way against incumbent Publicis and DraftFCB.

“Parrot is a classic household brand in Thailand. It would be a challenge, strategically, to bring its heritage and traditional values into a modern lifestyle setting. It’s a designer’s dream project - to be able to work out a retro to modern art direction,” added Visudhipol.
