Agenda hires Leung for planning post

HONG KONG - Former Carat vice-president Rudi Leung has joined Agenda Hong Kong as director of communications planning.

Leung, who left his role at Carat more than three months ago (Media, 26 June), will focus primarily on Hong Kong, expanding his remit to include China at a later date.

“Integrated communications planning is a key part of the transformation for traditional agencies, which are no longer competing merely on price,” said Leung.

“There are not many traditional agencies in Hong Kong that have a dedicated communications planning department, so we’re having to compete with a whole range of independent boutiques who are positioning themselves and bold and aggressive players in the market,” he added.

Leung has been tasked with driving the strategic and channel planning functions for key Agenda clients, which include Johnson & Johnson and GSL. Leung’s background includes stints at TBWA and Yahoo.
