Aegis unveils iProspect in Japan and Korea

TOKYO - Aegis Media is aiming to fill a perceived gap in communications and media planning in Japan and Korea with the launch of its global search facility, iProspect.

The service will be available through Carat in Japan, while in Korea it will be operated within Agency W and Ion Global Korea.

Blair Currie (pictured), Aegis’ chief executive for Japan and Korea, said that, particularly in Japan, consumers were largely driven online by traditional media. He added that search remained "a very underrated part" of marketing communications.

iProspect is present in five Asia-Pacific markets in addition to Japan and Korea, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Australia and new Zealand. It is expected to roll out in Thailand and Taiwan soon.
