adidas China Olympics blitz attempts to rally nation

BEIJING - adidas China has launched its highly anticipated Olympics campaign, developed in conjunction with agency partners TBWA and Carat.

Called ‘Together in 2008, Impossible is Nothing, the integrated blitz is built around the ‘Together’ TVC, which features “impossible” scenes of athletes competing atop oceans and mountains of people, using a blend of action photography and computer graphics, and starring famous Chinese Olympians such as Hu Jia, Sui Feifei and Zheng Zhi.

The campaign also includes a major online component at 2008.adidas.com, and will also see print, outdoor, retail executions and roadshows across the country. “This is the largest campaign we have ever done in China and showcases the power of the nation: when 1.3 billion people come together in 2008, impossible is nothing,”said adidas Greater China MD Wolfgang Bentheimer.

adidas is the official sportswear partner of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
