ACNielsen has secured its multi-year TV ratings contract in Taiwan
after an industrial review over the past few months.
The TV rating contract battle between ACNielsen and Sofres heated up
when the media industry decided to review the business.
It is understood that media owners were unsatisified with ACNielsen's
Peoplemeter panel size. Taylor Nelson Sofres had demonstrated keen
interest in replacing Nielsen's rating services.
Industry sources told MEDIA ACNielsen had promised "a lot" in price and
system enhancements in a bid to secure its business in Taiwan.
The new TV ratings contract will reaffirm AC Nielsen's business in
Taiwan for the next five years.
