ACDL retains Canadian agency for luxe development in Vietnam

TORONTO - Pilot PMR has been appointed by Asian Coast Development (ACDL) to provide integrated communications support for the Ho Tram Strip, a $4.2 billion Las Vegas-style destination being developed 80 miles from Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.

The agency was hired by ACDL after an informal agency review.

Pilot PMR’s scope of work will include North American media relations and publicity, corporate communications, and counsel, with an initial focus on the MGM Grand Ho Tram, a five-star property that will include a world-class gaming facility and Greg Norman-designed championship golf course. The communications work will run throughout 2009 with a variety of initiatives taking place across Canada and the United States.

“It was clear as we began our agency search that Pilot PMR understood the magnitude and – even more important – nuances of the communications and brand development work at hand,” says Mike Aymong, chairman of ACDL. “A global projec- demands that our partners not only provide tactical support, but a strong injection of senior counsel, and Pilot can deliver on both fronts.”
