2005 Spikes pull in record entries for event in China

ASIA-PACIFIC: The Spikes, to be held in Shanghai for the first time, has received over 2,700 entries - comfortably exceeding the 2,500 entries in 2004. Media's 19th Spikes will be held on April 21 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel Shanghai and will include new categories for interactive and media.

While Singapore again leads with 502 entries, a significant increase in entries has been recorded from India, Shanghai and Malaysia this year.

Hong Kong submitted the second highest number of entries with 351, followed by Thailand with 324 entries and Malaysia with 306 entries. Chairing this year's jury is David Droga, worldwide CD for Publicis Worldwide. Droga has won over 42 Cannes Lions including two Grand Prix.
