Global CEO of Hogarth Richard Glasson will be the incoming CEO of WPP Production

Under the changes Hogarth, WPP's production offering, has been closed.

Richard Glasson, the global chief executive of Hogarth, will oversee WPP Production, which will be made up of almost 10,000 people. Glasson’s job title will change to CEO of WPP Production.

Hogarth was founded in 2008 and Glasson became CEO in January 2011. Hogarth has produced work for clients such as Heinz, Nestlé and Volvo, providing production resources for WPP's network of agencies.

Hogarth's website currently states: “We are in a period of profound transformation. WPP Production is a new type of production company built for the future. One that embraces the possibilities of new technologies and powers clients to make better work for every audience, at every moment at the speed and quality consumers’ demand.”

It has worked on campaigns such as Boots' 2025 Christmas ad “Gift happily ever after”, Coca-Cola's “Recycle me,” and “Make it visible” for Ford.

Campaign has contacted WPP regarding job losses as a result of the changes.

WPP Production will consolidate WPP's production resources to form “a holistic ecosystem of creative, media and production expertise”. All teams will operate on a single platform, using WPP Open’s production technology and AI-powered workflows.

The new platform is driven by four pillars, which include “establishing a unified global team of craft experts” and “integrating agency producers for enhanced innovation”. The shake-up will bring all creative producers in WPP into a single global platform, who will work across the network’s client roster.

The third pillar is “unlocking next-generation content origination”, which aims to demonstrate WPP’s commitment to talent and technology, leveraging Generative AI, virtual and hybrid production.

The final pillar is “launching the high velocity content studio”, as WPP aims to create “an industry-leading integrated production plus media solution”, putting audiences at the heart of content strategy.

Glasson said: “This is a transformative moment for us and, more importantly, for our clients. Bringing all of WPP’s craft expertise together in WPP Production reinforces our position at the heart of WPP's integrated offering.

“It allows us to activate the full collective power of WPP – its talent, creativity, technology and data – to redefine content creation. We are focused on delivering smarter, more innovative and world-class storytelling that drives business for our clients.”

WPP Production will open studio locations around the world and the transition will take effect on February 23, 2026.

Cindy Rose, chief executive of WPP, added: "The launch of WPP Production is a cornerstone of our strategic vision to integrate our services, making it easier for clients to access WPP’s full spectrum of capabilities.

“In a rapidly evolving landscape where content is king, WPP Production will be the powerhouse that enables us to be the trusted growth partner for our clients.

“This is about delivering exceptional value and setting new benchmarks for the quality and scale of content production worldwide."

Separately, in September 2025, Omnicom Production appointed Joanna Cotton, former UK and Ireland managing director at Monks, as its UK CEO.
