TBWA Group Singapore has elevated long-time agency leader Mandy Wong to chief executive officer, effective immediately.
The appointment formalises Wong’s leadership after more than two decades with the network. She joined TBWA in Kuala Lumpur in 2001 as an account executive before relocating to Singapore, where she led the Standard Chartered account.
Wong was named president of TBWA Singapore in 2022, succeeding Ara Hampartsoumian following his resignation as CEO. She previously served as managing partner and managing director between 2019 and 2022.
The appointment comes with wider restructuring at Omnicom. TBWA is now part of the group’s revamped creative organisation following Omnicom’s decision to retire the DDB Worldwide brand in December and fold its operations into TBWA. In Singapore, the former MullenLowe network has been integrated under McCann.
Since Omnicom’s acquisition of IPG in November, the holding company has made several leadership changes across Asia. Last week, Omnicom appointed former DDB Hong Kong chief Andreas Krasser as CEO of Omnicom Advertising Hong Kong, with a mandate to oversee both BBDO Hong Kong and TBWA Hong Kong.
