Cookie Says: You can't go wrong with a teen-love plotline

Cookies carry a message of romance in this successful online video from the Philippines.

This is a video for 'Cookie Says', a brand of cookies from a company called Lemon Square. The cookies feature cute baked-in messages, which serve as a plot device in the video.

The clip has scored 1.6 million views on Facebook, and even Ad Nut's cold, cynical heart can understand why people would like it.

The agency, Havas Ortega, reports that it was initially just supposed to do Facebook posts for the brand, but got inspired by the idea of the product making a meaningful connection between two people.

Ad Nut finds the plot twist at the end interesting, but wonders whether the cookies will continue to be a sufficient communications medium for the budding young couple.
