Audible voiceover causes (and solves) problems in Singtel iPhone campaign

A clever plot device and some fun performances make this trio of ads by BBH Singapore enjoyable.

Ad Nut took a break from obsessively collecting holiday ads to enjoy this series of spots for Singtel. They focus on the carrier's specific offerings tied to the iPhone 8 and X. Each features a voiceover that the characters can hear, which turns out to be a really effective device for dramatising features and deals that on their own would be deadly dull. It also helps that all the actors, especially the everyman dad, hit the fine line between being funny with their facial expressions and overdoing it. Nicely done.

The same client and agency created one of the better spots in the aforementioned Christmas collection, by the way.
