Photos: Flamingo Flicks screening of 'Sandcastle' in Singapore
Last week in Singapore, Flamingo Group, in partnership with The Working Capitol, hosted Flamingo Flicks at The Commons @ The Working Capitol. The event, dedicated to creating and discussing culture, drew about 90 attendees. The main event was a screening of Sandcastle, a coming-of-age film by local director Boo Junfeng, in which the protagonist researches his family's background (and Singapore's). Harriet Robertson, a director at Flamingo, also gave a brief presentation about the similar journey Singapore is making to tap into its past in an effort to shape its future identity and creative landscape.
